We would like to announce that High West Energy’s 86th Annual Meeting will be held virtually on the evening of Thursday, June 15, 2023. After holding the Annual Meeting last year virtually, we realized that not only was it a cost-saving measure, but it was also the most-attended meeting in years. This format allowed members to join from the comfort of their home, while still being able to learn about their local cooperative.  

With the cost of everyday amenities rising, as well as the cost of wholesale electricity increasing, it is in our best interest to do everything that we can to utilize our assets effectively. We hope that this format still provides an interactive and informative experience for our members. 

The format will be similar to last year’s meeting, so stay tuned for further instructions on how to navigate the meeting. We will include full instructions of how to join the meeting, comment, and write in questions during the meeting. We hope to see you, virtually, at High West Energy’s 86th Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Stay tuned for more details!  

Unclaimed Patronage Dividends

As a member of a cooperative, you share in the ownership, construction, maintenance, and prosperity of High West Energy. When you move into, or establish a business in our territory, you become a member of High West Energy. Last fall, our Board of Directors voted to retire approximately $764,445 in patronage dividends. High West Energy has paid out dividends for the last 37 years.  

Patronage capital is based on the amount of electricity each member uses so the amount members are allocated varies from year to year.

See the complete list of names of individuals or businesses whose checks from previous years were either returned as undeliverable or the checks were not cashed at the PDF below or click this link. If you recognize a name on the list, please notify that person. If the person is deceased, please let one of their relatives know about the unclaimed check. An official representative of the estate can also contact us to claim the check.

Recipe of the Month! 

Eggplant Parmesan

• 1 large egg
• 1 tablespoon water
• 1 cup dried bread crumbs
• 1 small eggplant
• 1/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 
• 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Beat the egg and water together in a small bowl. Place breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Slice the eggplant and dip each slice in the egg mixture. Then coat each slice in breadcrumbs. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the eggplant slices to the hot oil and reduce heat to medium. Cook until golden brown. Sprinkle cheese over eggplant during the last minute of cooking. Heat up spaghetti sauce and add red pepper flakes. Finally, top the eggplant with the sauce and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
