Beginning this year, High West Energy is announcing a new scholarship designed to encourage men and women in our communities to consider pursuing a valuable and rewarding career as an electric lineworker. Each scholarship will be worth $5,000 to put toward an accredited lineman education program.

Unlike High West’s college scholarship program, there are no age restrictions. We encourage young women and men graduating from high school to apply, but this is also a great opportunity for anyone looking to change careers. Depending on the number of worthy applicants, there might be multiple winners. The same panel of independent judges that review college scholarship applications will review lineman applicants as well.

To qualify for the scholarship:

• Applicants must be members, the children of members. High West employees or the children of High West employees.
• Applicants must complete and submit the scholarship application by Friday, Feb. 26
• Applicants must have graduated from high school or earned a GED
